Halogenated Hydrocarbons
Halogenated hydrocarbons are special volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that contain, for example, chlorine or fluorine. They are often found in industrial solvents. Their catalytic destruction requires particularly resistant catalysts, as the acids formed during oxidation (such as hydrochloric acid) can severely attack conventional materials.
